How to Search the Lyons Court Docket
One portal handles it all. The Lyons Municipal Online Services court page offers four search modes, and each asks for different fields. Keep the citation close and pick the mode that matches the facts printed on the paper.
- Confirm that the issuing court is Lyons Municipal Court, not Toombs State Court or another court.
- Choose Citation Number, Driver’s License, Vehicle Information, or Name.
- Enter every required field exactly. Date of birth uses the MM/DD/YYYY helper.
- Open the match and compare the citation, amount, and court instruction with the original ticket.
- If the ticket requires an appearance or no match appears, call the court at 912-526-3638.
Think of the service as a citation and payment route, not a full case file. The interface shows no sample docket history, document images, or processing fee, so expect a lookup result rather than deep court records.
Lyons Court Docket Search Modes
Each Lyons search card narrows a municipal citation differently. Two modes, Social Security Number and Business Name, sit disabled in the current configuration. Treat them as unavailable, not as alternate routes worth trying.
| Mode | Fields | Requirement |
|---|---|---|
| Citation Number | Citation Number; Date of birth | Citation number marked required |
| Driver’s License | DL Number; State; Date of birth | DL number required |
| Vehicle Information | License Plate Number; State | Plate and state required |
| Name | First name; Last name; Date of birth | First and last name required |
A failed search does not mean the ticket was dismissed. Check the spelling, number order, state, and birth date first. Then contact the issuing court if the docket still comes up empty.
The Lyons Municipal Court
The official Lyons Municipal Court page describes the court's job. It covers misdemeanor traffic offenses and city ordinance violations inside city limits. The court shares space with City Hall at 161 NE Broad Street, Lyons, Georgia 30436. Stacy Pittman Morris is the public clerk named by the city. Those facts mark the city lane. They keep a Lyons court docket lookup from drifting into the county's Superior or State systems. Some citations can be resolved before court, while others carry a mandatory appearance. The ticket and the Municipal Court decide which rule applies. A payment balance is not permission to skip a date. And a city matter should not move to PayYourTix. Both services involve Toombs County, but that alone does not make them interchangeable.
Lyons Court Docket at City Hall
The City of Lyons home page gathers municipal services and court navigation at the county-seat hub in one place.
That official page is the reliable route into city court information. City Hall also serves as the stated court location. But the building's county-seat role does not turn every Toombs County case into a Lyons municipal matter.

Lyons Court Dates and Settings
Lyons runs a recurring municipal court day. It falls on the second Tuesday of each month at City Hall. That pattern gives you a planning frame. The citation still controls the actual required date. When a ticket, a portal result, and the monthly pattern disagree, call the court. A reset must come from the court. It never comes from an assumption about the next second Tuesday.
| Date | The date printed on the citation or later court notice. |
|---|---|
| Time | The listed start or docket-call time; the city does not publish an individual-time rule in the inspected page. |
| Courtroom | Municipal Court at City Hall unless current instructions say otherwise. |
| Judge | The presiding judicial officer shown on the current notice; no current judge was identified in research. |
| Setting Type | Traffic, ordinance, plea, hearing, trial, or other label used by the court. |
Keep the newest notice you receive. An online payment page is not a calendar, and an absent balance is not a cancellation.
Lyons Court Docket Second Tuesdays
The second-Tuesday pattern is useful local detail, but it has limits. It cannot fix the precise time of every Lyons case. It cannot prove a holiday or emergency left a session unchanged. And it never substitutes for a written reset. It also says nothing about Toombs State or Superior settings.
Confirm before the date. Call 912-526-3638 when the citation lacks a clear time, shows a different date, or appears to require a personal appearance.
If you have a lawyer, check with counsel too. Only the court can grant a continuance or excuse an appearance.
Lyons Traffic Tickets
A Lyons police citation belongs in the municipal lane when it names Lyons Municipal Court. The city says some tickets can be paid before court, and mandatory-appearance tickets cannot. Paying accepts the court resolution tied to the ticket. Contesting it means following the appearance instruction instead of treating the payment screen as a substitute. Georgia Courts notes there is no central citation database. Online availability may take seven to 21 business days. That statewide timing explains some blank results. The city court still controls the actual Lyons record. For the county-wide split between municipal and county citations, see Toombs County traffic court records.
Lyons Court Docket Payment Choices
The city lists its payment choices: cash, money order, credit or debit card, cashier's check, online payment, and mail. No online processing-fee amount is posted, so do not guess one. If you mail a payment, follow the instructions and deadline on the citation or the current city page.
| Choice | Best check before use |
|---|---|
| In person | Confirm City Hall hours and accepted method |
| Online | Confirm the citation is eligible and review the final amount |
| Use the court’s address and allow delivery time | |
| Appear or contest | Follow the ticket’s date and mandatory-appearance mark |
Never mail cash. Keep a receipt or delivery record, and call the court if the case does not update.
Where Lyons Cases End Up
Lyons Municipal Court handles city traffic and ordinance matters, nothing more. A case labeled Toombs State, Superior, Magistrate, Probate, or Juvenile belongs with the office named for that court, even if the event began inside Lyons. County-seat geography does not merge these records.
Docket flow: Lyons Municipal Court › Toombs County Courts › Toombs County Superior Court, Middle Judicial Circuit
For a county record, use the Toombs County court docket route and Nancy Pittman's clerk office. For a city payment or appearance issue, stay with Lyons Municipal Court.
Lyons Mandatory Appearance Warning
Lyons takes its mandatory appearance rule seriously. Skip the court date or leave a fine unpaid. The city says you may then face a warrant, a suspended license, and an added fee. That warning sits on the Lyons page itself. It does not apply to every Toombs ticket. So read it as this court's own instruction rather than a glitch or a generic notice.
If your date has passed, call the court right away. Ask where the case stands and what you must do next. Paying some other portal, waiting for the next second Tuesday, or checking a DDS record will not resolve the court matter on its own.
Public Access to Lyons Court Records
When you ask for a Lyons municipal record, name the thing that already exists: a citation, a docket entry, an order, or a payment record. Send the request to the city court custodian. Georgia's Open Records Act, O.C.G.A. §§ 50-18-70 et seq., governs what agencies must release and what exemptions apply. Court orders, juvenile confidentiality, and protected identifiers can all limit what the clerk hands over.
Ask for the right product. A portal result is not a certified court copy, and a city citation record is not a DDS driving record.
State the court, citation or case number, date range, desired document, and whether inspection or a copy is sought.
One limit matters here. Under § 50-18-71(j), the custodian does not have to build a new report for you. So ask for an existing Lyons record, not an analysis or a legal conclusion.
Lyons Court Docket City Context
Lyons counted 4,239 residents in the 2020 Census. The city also serves as the Toombs County seat. The official city and joint plan point to a busy downtown, public-safety functions, and Partin Park. Festivals and Soap Box Derby traditions make the list too. City Hall sits at the center of civic life. None of that widens Municipal Court jurisdiction, though.
Here the point is narrower. A Lyons search can pull up a city court, a county clerk, and a payment vendor all at once. A state provider can appear too. The court label on your citation tells you which lane controls.
The official Municipal Court page lays out the local court's identity. It also gives the city's own instructions.
That official page anchors the Lyons-specific court route. It shows the city page, clerk, schedule, and payment choices as one set. The warning fits there too, not as copies from a county portal.
Mailing a payment? Follow the current court instructions, allow delivery time, and keep proof of mailing. Paying online? Check the final amount, since no processing-fee figure is published. Paying in person? Confirm hours before you drive over. In every route, a mandatory-appearance mark beats the assumption that payment alone closes the citation.
A certified county document is a different errand. The Lyons municipal payment portal offers no certified copies. A transaction receipt is not an authenticated docket entry. When the record truly sits in Toombs State or Superior Court, the documented routes are Nancy Pittman's office and eCertification.
Hold on to the original Lyons citation. Keep every receipt and notice too, until the court confirms the case status. If one search mode fails, try only another mode that works from the same record. Check the data with care. Avoid the disabled Social Security Number and Business Name modes. Never push the ticket into a neighboring city's system. For any city-court mismatch, the Lyons clerk is the source.
